I have been an independent governmental relations consultant since September of 2013. I have worked with multiple clients developing and implementing governmental and legislative strategies to help accomplish their goals.

Alabama State Legislature 2002-2013

I was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in 2002, re-elected in 2006 and 2010. From 2005 to 2010 I served as the House Minority Whip. From 2010 to 2013 I served as the Ways and Means Education Chairman for the House and had the responsibility of budgeting $5.8 billion to fund public education in Alabama.

Southeast Subway Development, February 2000 to current

I am a principal in SE Subway Development which is a franchise development and management company affiliated with Subway. We manage a territory in SE Georgia and NE Florida. We purchased the territory in 2000 and have grown it from 161 stores to 320 stores.

5i Solutions

I am a principal in an ownership group that manages data and information storage since June 13. 5i Solutions employs over 40 people in Florida and Indiana

Love’s Subway, May 1992 to September 2006

I owned and operated 16 Subway sandwich shops in central Alabama and employed over 130 people.

Marco’s Pizza, August 2010 to 2014

I owned and operated 3 Marco’s Pizza franchises in Montgomery which employed over 50 people.
